"Summer" lovin and new CD

Hey there,

Can't help but be excited about all the new songs, new shows and new CD coming up! Dann keeps coming up with outstanding guitar licks which are leading lots of lyrics along with Brooklyn, the Village and Jersey City as our inspiration of late the songs are a flowing. Our friends at Freemind Entertainment, Melissa and Nate are busy booking up our Spring and Summer at some really great venues. We are looking forward to seeing you all out on the road. We are heading West of the city this summer. You never know how far West we will go....

Thanks for all the well wishes.... we will see you soon. Also if you have any gig venue requests let me know and I will see if we can make it happen.

Travels and Whistlegrass

Well I just got back from doing some traveling way down South. It was great to breathe in some fresh mountain air. As promised we will head out and do some shows back home. I think hurricane season has passed so we should be good to go. So I am just finishing up the songs for next years new CD release and also starting to book some private parties and small clubs with Whistlegrass. Together we are a 4 piece, piano, guitar, bass and drums and the result is big rootsy soulful sound. I am really digging this and will keep you posted on the upcoming dates.

New songs

Well it has been awhile since we have debuted new material. Well wait no longer. I think spending a couple years in Brooklyn and in NYC has really given me some serious inspiration. Songs have come to me on the subway and crossing the street. The intersection alone at Dekalb Avenue and Fulton Street have generated more than a few songs. The amazing people that I meet everyday in this incredible city have been such a gift. That coupled with a little visit to Alabama and Tennessee have given me so much material. I can honestly say that I think I have written some of the best songs of my life this year and for that I am so thankful. This August you can join us as we debut these new songs. We are doing a wonderful show in New Hope, PA at Bob Egan's Cabaret Supper club. This is a really cool place where I had the chance to so a showcase a while back. (You can check out a video from that night on the Video page). Complete with stage and Steinway, this intimate venue is a perfect listening room. I hope you can join us for this amazing night on August 26th. We are also playing a couple shows in the Art of Brooklyn Festival. Check out: parkslopefilms.com/The_Art_Of_Brooklyn/Welcome.html. On August 20 and August 27, Dann and I will be doing acoustic performances before the films start. We were also invited to play the festival closing night party with the band. 2011 - Celebrate, Appreciate, Love, Meditate

Hello 2011,

This has already been a year of surprises. Love is definitely in the air as well as lots of snow here on the east coast. I so appreciate all of the warm messages and greetings and shout-outs. Yes, we are working on a new CD. Actually Dann and I are also working on some other musical projects too. During January and February we are helping some friends with their meditation CD. It is a benefit project for a guided imagery mediation to help in the healing process for breast cancer patients. Dann and I are composing, performing and recording the music.

I have been sorting through all of the new songs trying to figure out which ones to put on the new CD.   Dann got out his lap steel and it looks like we are heading down some new musical roads. It took the city to bring out the country.   We will be recording this CD after we finish the meditation CD probably starting sometime in March. Then we will book some new dates. I know you have been waiting for the new music. I am going to stay in for the next 2 months and get it done. So if you don't see me out you know why!

We are working on another Americana project called Whistle Grass. It is a smaller configuration wtih a big sound.

Last year we spent some time in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and really got inspired by the musical history, the people and the beautiful land.   This May it looks like we are going to head down to Nashville, TN and Muscle Shoals to do a little playing.

So lots to celebrate already in 2011! I wish all of you a wonderfully abundant year.
